In a plant with an area of 21 thousand square meters components for electric cars, such as cores for electric motors, will be produced. The first parts will be produced at the Brzeg plant in the second half of this year.
The Polish factory will allow the South Koreans to increase their production by the end of this year, the level of total production of traction motor cores will reach 4.3 million pieces and over 7 million by 2030. Last year, POSCO’s production was approximately 2.3 million pieces.
The investor’s plan assumes that the initial production capacity of the Brzeg factory will reach 260,000. pieces per year. However, this is not the end of the capabilities of the new plant, because by 2030 the investor plans to launch a total of eight production lines, which will increase the plant’s production capacity to over 1.2 million cores per year.
