“The support subsidy is granted to beneficiaries of educational credit, after validating compliance with the requirements, at the time of granting the credit. ICETEX consults the document registered by the student in the official databases (National Planning Department, Ministry of the Interior, Social Prosperity and Red Unidos). The allocation of the support subsidy is subject to budget availability,” he stressed.

The student must have an active bank account in his/her own name. Icetex will pay the support subsidy into this account (if applicable and according to the chosen credit line).
Deadline for claiming the subsidy
Icetex stated that once the student has been notified that he or she met the conditions at the time of the award and the information on the generation of the subsidy payment method is published on the website, the student will have a maximum period of four months to claim and activate it. After this time, if the student does not claim the payment method, it will be understood as a withdrawal by the beneficiary of the subsidy for that semester.
