New automotive center? Kecskemét does not slow down
The factory in Kecskemét will become the second largest Mercedes plant in Europe. It already employs nearly 5,000 people, and by 2026 it plans to double production to 400,000 cars a year. New halls, assembly lines and workplaces will be built – up to 3,000 full -time jobs in two years.
Electric models and great ambitions
From next year, Mercedes will start the production of electricians in Kecskemét, which is to make Hungary one of the most important players in the European electromobility industry. Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó says directly: “It will be the spine of the future European economy.”
Not only Mercedes – the whole industry is moving
BMW and Bosch also expand their activities in Hungary, And German media even talk about the “silent reverse” of the industry from Germany. Hungary, on the other hand, use the moment – they provide favorable conditions, cheap labor and political support. Orbán does not hide: “We are a strategic ally of German industry.”
Politics with the Flag of Hungary in the background
János Lázár, the Minister of Construction and Transport of Hungary, emphasizes: “Europe needs patriotic politicians who will take care of their own industry.” In his opinion, the European Union does not protect its economy enough, and this threatens to lose competitiveness on the global market.
