Over the last 30 years, Poland has been building its position as the financial center of Central and Eastern Europe, becoming a strategic point for financial operations, innovation and investment. Now, entering a new stage, the country is focusing on selected specializations based on key competencies, such as anti-money laundering (AML), cybersecurity, digital payments, digital assets and open finance. This new chapter in development also means a dynamic response to global trends, the integration of advanced technologies and supporting the education of talents necessary for the further growth of the sector. Intensive promotion of Poland in this area is also necessary.
Key areas of specialization and innovation
Poland’s success in the financial sector is supported by a diversified economy, highly qualified teams and a stable regulatory environment. The country is increasingly marking its position in key developing areas. Poland is one of the most advanced digital payment markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Innovative solutions in this area enable efficient and safe transactions, and the high level of adaptation by consumers and companies contributes to the dynamic development of this sector. As a country, we have also achieved very high competences in the area of AML and cybersecurity. A key element of the growth of the Polish financial sector is also the acquisition and development of outstanding talents. Financial institutions and fintech companies in Poland are actively looking for specialists in technology, data analysis and finance, offering competitive working conditions and development opportunities. Recruitment programs, also from abroad, ensure Poland’s competitiveness on the global talent market.
Presentation of Poland’s achievements: Warsaw Finance Week and the Future Finance Summit conference
In order for the world to learn more about Polish achievements, the Warsaw Finance Week event was created – a prestigious series of meetings, workshops and discussions aimed at presenting the Polish financial ecosystem and its contribution to the stability and innovation of the region. The central point of Warsaw Finance Week is the Future Finance Summit conference, organized on November 18-19 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. This event is attended by representatives of the Polish government, public administration and guests from abroad, both from the business world and from ministries and embassies.
“During the Future Finance Summit, we will pay special attention to the strategy of the Polish Presidency in the financial context, especially in relation to strengthening transatlantic cooperation between the European Union and the United States. Poland, being a key player in the region, sees the need to strengthen its capital market and increase its attractiveness for foreign investors in order to compete with other European financial centers. – says Paweł Widawski, President of the FinTech Poland Foundation.
Warsaw Finance Week and the Future Finance Summit conference highlight Poland’s ambition to gain wider recognition not only as a regional financial center, but also as an important player on the international arena.
