New Skoda Elroq is available in three different battery sizes that offer fast charging. The model costs PLN 33,000. euro., which is approximately the same as its counterpart with an internal combustion engine. Thanks to the similar price, customers can safely consider whether they want an ecological car, without pressure regarding the price.

CEO Klaus Zellmer believes that the new SUV Skoda will be a game changer for the brand in terms of electric vehicles due to its competitive price.

The high price arouses objections from customers

As Bloomberg notes, drivers in Europe have objected to the high cost of Volkswagen’s electric vehicles, Stellantis and Renaultafter countries such as Germany withdrew subsidies. The lack of government support has opened the way for Chinese brands, led by BYD, to gain market share in the European market with cheaper models.

Skoda has become Volkswagen’s bright spot. A brand that produces in low-cost countries, including the Czech Republic and Chinarecorded an increase in sales in Europe by approximately 9%. this year until August.

Skoda’s sales results stand in stark contrast to the problems of falling demand for Volkswagen’s cars.

Will Elroq increase sales of electric cars in Europe?

Elroq can help increase sales in Europe. The new model comes with a reversing camera, a 13-inch infotainment screen and a digital voice assistant powered by ChatGPT.

The price of the model is much lower than the prices of competing cars. Prices of the VW ID.4 electric SUV starts at around 48k. euro. Too BYD’s Atto 3 is more expensive than Elroq. For Atto 3 you have to pay approximately 38 thousand euro.

Customers can order the model starting Wednesday, with deliveries expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025.
