Waymo Sensors and Software, a suite known collectively as “Waymo Driver”, will be built into the IONIQ 5 in “significant quantities” at Hyundai’s new plant in GeorgiaBloomberg quotes Friday’s joint statement from both companies.
Road testing of Hyundai’s electric vehicles will begin in late 2025, Waymo said, and the vehicles will be added to fleets in subsequent years.
