Energy security
By referring directly to the title of the largest event of the Polish Presidency, Witold Literacki points out that without a doubt Everyone in the EU is working hard today to reconcile the plans of green order with an equally vital goal, which is energy security.
– We probably understood that we must decarbonize our region of the world in such a way that citizens of the entire European Union have access to energy at affordable prices and at the same time that our economy remain competitive, or even increases its global competitiveness – Which is not possible without energy at a competitive price. In the opinion of Orlen, this requires changes in legislation, including delays of entry into force and corrections of some legal acts, such as Red III or ETS2 – argues Witold Literacki.
Emphasizes that Each regulation requires reliable calculations showing the real impact of individual provisions on production costs and energy prices. It is worth being fully aware that every new load in the energy sector will work in the current realities like a tax imposed on the price of energy.
Competitiveness & Security Business Summit – Business peak for competitiveness and security 2025 took place 100 days after the inauguration of the new European Commissionon the day of the EC of the White Book on European defense, and shortly after the publishing of the assumptions of the Clean Industrial Deal, whose primary goal is to improve the competitiveness of European industry while maintaining climatic goals.
The conclusions and postulates formulated on CSBS already affect the agenda and the actions of the European Union in the era of great challenges and great opportunities, which can be seen even in the conclusion of the last summit of the European Council (EUCO).
