The Spanish firm SCImago published its most recent list of the best universities in the world in terms of research, innovation and social impact; In his analysis, he also presented the list made for Colombia, in which the National University stood out above other cloisters.
At the local level, The study included the participation of 48 universities from different regions of the country and delivered his conclusions after evaluating them in different aspects.
According to the firm that performs the analysis, In this study, other indicators were included that contemplate, among others, the participation of women in the research processes, something that had weight when granting the final grade.
“For the SIR Ranking 2024 edition, the Societal Factor has been modified to include three new indicators that more specifically reflect the social impact achieved by an institution: among them, the generation of new knowledge related to the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations, the participation of women in research processes and the use of the results obtained in the creation or improvement of public policies,” the firm indicated.
