Starry March on Warsaw
As we read on the Facebook profile of the National Alliance of Farmers’ Trade Unions and Agricultural Organizations, the nationwide farmers’ protest will take place on February 27. The march will start at at 11:00 from the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.
Planned route of farmers’ protest will run through Emilii Plater streets, Aleje Jerozolimskie to Charles De Gauelle Roundabout, then turn into Nowy Świat to Trzech Krzyży Square, and then run through Wiejska, Piękna and Aleje Ujazdowskie streets, where the route is expected to end in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. .

What farmers expect
“We want to close the border with Ukraine and throw out the Green Dealproposed by the European Commission, into the trash,” says Sławomir Izdebski, chairman of the National Alliance of Trade Unions of Farmers and Agricultural Organizations.
In an interview with TVN24, the president of the Grain and Feed Chamber, Monika Piątkowska, said that farmers are waiting for specifics and in a very short time. She also said that farmers are demanding verification of the Green Deal in many EU countries. Farmers are protesting not only in Poland, but also in France, Germany and Italy. She also pointed out that what was happening on the Ukrainian border was a separate issue.
