As she said at the press conference Minister of Funds and Regional Development Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęczthanks to these agreements, over 230 new solutions will be created that will improve the quality of life and working conditions of society.

As the minister explained, the idea is to “reach out to people, to real life, and find social innovations there. People have various brilliant ideas for solving social problems.” The second task is to develop, strengthen and pass on the innovations that have already been found.

“These are investments in people, educational, and anti-exclusion. (…) They build a much-needed value – social capital,” explained Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, encouraging people to take part in subsequent recruitment processes. They are very simple, for ordinary, sometimes individual people – explained the minister.

As she added Deputy Minister Monika Sikorain order to use social innovations developed in municipalities or smaller organizations on a larger scale, accelerators are added to incubators to support the development of already implemented ideas

Agreements MFiPR has signed agreements with non-governmental organizations, administration and companies who have experience in implementing projects for social inclusion, employment and education. Together with their partners, they will act as the so-called social innovation incubators. Their task will be to support the authors of innovations so that they adapt their ideas to the needs of the people for whom they create them and check whether they work in practice.

The beneficiaries of the competition are: Stocznia Foundation, Foundation for Social and Economic Initiatives, Association for Social Cooperatives, Regional Center for Social Policy of the Lesser Poland Voivodeshipand companies DGA, Sense Consulting and PCG Polska.

According to the rules of the competition, incubators will operate in all areas supported by European Social Fund Plus (ESF+): social inclusion, employment, accessibility and education.

The competition is organized with funds from the program European Funds for Social Development (FERS) 2021-2027. It is a continuation of the micro-innovation financing system initiated in Operational Program Knowledge EducationDevelopment (AFTER REV), which was implemented in the previous EU financial perspective.
