Most events take place in the largest urban centers, which additionally have extensive conference facilities. The report “Meetings and events industry in Poland 2025” prepared by the Polish Tourist Organization shows that out of over 18.9 thousand events organized in our country, up to 47 percent took place in Warsaw and Krakow. Therefore, it should not surprise anyone that in these cities the highest salaries are paid for employees.
The intense period will last until the holidays
Event organizers, including hoteliers with advanced conference and banquet facilities, have seen significantly increased traffic since the beginning of March. They emphasize, however, that the peak of the conference season is still ahead of us. Therefore, it can be expected that the demand for various positions supporting the organization of events will continue to grow.
– In all our hotels in Krakow and Warsaw, the hot conference season will last until the holidays. In addition to large conferences, this year we are also seeing interest in smaller business meetings. However, regardless of the format or scale of the event, the demand for both technical staff and guest service staff is growing – says Kamil SawickiCluster Poland Convention Sales Manager at Leonardo Hotels.

What are the most offers and how much can you earn?
According to industry representatives, the number of vacancies for positions in the largest cities is increasing event reception staff and information points, but also to assembly and disassembly of event infrastructure (stage, lighting, sound system, construction). Moreover, it is missing event assistantssupporting the logistics of the event. These are short-term jobs, often billed hourly or daily, so they fit well into the schedule students. The rates are attractive because you can often even count on… PLN 50-60 gross per hour.
– Our experience and information we have from companies organizing business events in our hotels show that in Warsaw, hostesses and guests as well as registration point employees receive on average PLN 30-45 gross per hour, but for more prestigious events requiring experience and e.g. knowledge of languages, the rates increase to levels well above PLN 50 per hour. Event assistants can expect similar earnings. In turn, the technical staff responsible for assembling the stage, lighting and sound system receives, depending on the scale and complexity of the event, from PLN 35 to PLN 60 per hour of work – enumerates Iwona Furtek, Marketing Manager at Leonardo Hotels. – It is worth emphasizing that between Krakow and Warsaw we observe significant discrepancies in the rates of some specializations and services, and this is not always to Warsaw’s advantage. – adds Iwona Furtek.
What rates can I expect for qualified specialists?
From an interview conducted by the Leonardo Hotels chain, we learn that there is currently a shortage on the market lighting and sound technicians, stage managers, multimedia operators and event assistants and coordinators. Interestingly, students are also increasingly applying for these positions, especially from fields such as sound engineering, acoustic engineering and event production. In turn, students of theater schools often volunteer to act as emcees.
In the case of more specialized positions, such as sound engineers, lighting engineers or announcers, rates are usually charged per day of work or for the entire event. In the largest cities sound engineers, audio technicians and lighting engineers they can make money from PLN 700 to PLN 1,500 net per day of work, a presenters’ rates are starting from 2PLN 000 net for the event. However, this is nothing compared to the earnings of celebrities who – according to Ewa Nowak from the Open Media agency – may receive from several to even PLN 20,000 – 30,000 net for hosting the several-hour-long event. The rates depend, of course, on many factors, such as the speaker’s recognition or the prestige and scale of the event.
– Interestingly, actors and journalists are equally eager to play the role of presenters, from lifestyle, through sports, to weather presenters. The exception are news journalists, the faces of serious television stations, who often have a clause in their contracts that prevents them from conducting commercial events. – he adds Ewa NowakCEO of the Open Media Public Relations agency.
