One of the ways in which the Colombian State measures the quality of education in the country is through the famous Saber pro and Saber TyT tests, exams that are carried out periodically and in which students from higher education institutions must participate who are close to completing their technical or professional studies.
“The State of the Quality of Higher Education exam, Saber Pro, is a standardized evaluation instrument for the external measurement of the quality of higher education that evaluates the competencies of “students who are close to completing the different university professional programs”indicates the Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education, Icfes, on its web portal.
Taking these results into account, the Institute also made a ranking of the universities that achieved a better score after these tests.
The calculation presented by the Icfes includes the average score obtained by students from each universitywhich allows them to prepare a ranking with the best universities in the country.
According to this average, The universities with the best scores in the Saber Pro tests are:
- Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá: 187 points.
- EIA University, Medellín: 183 points.
- National University, Bogotá headquarters: with 182.
- College of Higher Studies of Administration -Cesa-, Bogotá: 180 points.
- Universidad de la Sabana, Chía: 179.
- Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Bogotá: 179.
- National University, Medellín headquarters: 175.
- Icesi University, Medellín: 174 points.
- Javeriana University of Bogotá: 172 points.
- Universidad del Norte de Barranquilla: 171 points.

For its part, the Saber 11 Tests are a mandatory exam for all high school seniors in Colombia, which determines the educational quality of the country and also qualifies specific competencies such as critical reading, mathematics, social sciences and citizenship. natural sciences and English.
