The role of Poland in Ukraine of the future is one of the topics raised during the 17th edition of the Baltic Business Forum. Referring to the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war, the interlocutor Zbigniew Bartus pointed out that it would be a reconstruction from scratch.
– it is known that some infrastructure objects will be rebuilt, but they will be rebuilt not in the style in which they were originally built in Soviet times; These will be modern engineering facilities that will be built according to the latest technologies. In this I see a big chance for European, American companies, but also for Polish companies that already have know how and know how to build these modern buildings, devices, highways, airports – said Marek Buczak.
Polish know-how includes not only knowledge about technology or investment organization, but also EU standards to be met; It is very important for Ukrainians, because when implementing investments, they would like to increasingly adapt their country to EU standards and values. Poland can demonstrate here with priceless experience and share it with a neighbor.
To what extent are we building a foothold for such a role of Poland in the future? – Work on concepts that are to connect Polish companies with technology suppliers from Western Europe, Japan or South Korea are becoming more and more intensively in the PFR group. We see a good chance that Polish local companies will be partners for the Western world – pointed out Marek Buczak.
As he said, in the first years of the war Japan and Korea, wanting to support Ukraine, were involved in projects that in the future are to promote the reconstruction of the country. – Recently, these companies have realized that they are not able to implement these projects without partners in the vicinity. A chance for Polish construction companies opens here – pointed out the representative of PFR TFI.
Marek Buczak pointed out that Polish companies are more and more boldly in foreign markets. This is due to the fact that many entrepreneurs see in the ongoing crisis, in the realities of the weakening of economies in Western Europe, the chances of development and expansion, also through the acquisition of companies in other countries. Strong diversification of markets in which Polish companies develop or plan trade is also visible.
