An electronics technician becomes a store cashier
The network announced the promotion of its employee in the announcement about the appointment of a new member of the management board, but this professional advancement is truly impressive. It is about forty-two-year-old Marcin Jędraszak, a graduate of the Technical School Complex in Ostrów Wielkopolski. His learned profession is an electronics technician with specialization in automation.
However, Jędraszak chose to work in trade. In 2004, he got a job as a warehouseman and cashier. Then he quickly started climbing the career ladder. After just a year, he was promoted to market manager. Two years later, he took up the position of head of the Dino central warehouse, where he worked for five years, until 2012.
Promotion follows promotion
Then came another promotion. In 2013, Jędraszak took over as a buyer, which meant he was responsible for the development of the product offer of the entire chain. – As part of his duties, he cooperated with food producers, searched for new products for the offer of Dino stores and negotiated commercial terms with suppliers – informs the company.
But it was just another stop on Jędraszak’s train to his career. After five years, he already held the position of sales director. He not only supervised trade, but also marketing, arrangement and operation of Dino stores. In 2020, he managed the operation of the entire network.
The way to the top
He will continue to do so, but now from an even higher position. According to the company, at the beginning of the new year, Marcin Jędraszak will become a member of the management board of Dino Polska. In two decades, an ambitious chain employee made his professional journey from a cashier to one of the highest positions in a company worth over PLN 40 billion. The owner of the company, Tomasz Biernacki, was at the top of the list in the latest ranking of the richest Poles by “Wprost”. His fortune is valued at nearly PLN 20 billion.
How much do the best earn at Dino?
How much will Jędraszak earn? As banker.pl writes, the exact remuneration of management board members of a listed company is no secret. The amount of remuneration at Dino is determined on the basis of the “remuneration policy for members of the management board and supervisory board” adopted by the shareholders. It is known that such a salary consists of monthly remuneration and variable remuneration in the form of quarterly and annual bonuses. Dino management board members are employed under an employment contract. How does this translate into specific money?
The fixed monthly salary in management should not exceed ten times the average salary of a full-time employee. According to banker.pl, together with variable remuneration and possible remuneration in Dino’s subsidiaries, which is not uncommon, the amount may exceed PLN 1 million per year, as indicated by archived data.
