South Korea is the largest Asian investor in Poland. Korean companies are investing heavily in Poland in various areas, such as batteries for electric vehicles, electronics, engineering, automotive parts and the chemical industry.

This is the next stage of cooperation between the two banks. In 2022, Pekao concluded a framework cooperation agreement with KB Kookmin Bank. According to it, cooperation may include activities in corporate finance transactions of Korean companies operating in Poland or Polish companies operating in South Korea, development of transactions in the area of trade financing, including letters of credit and bank guarantees, and acquiring new corporate clients.
