Orlen announced that Literacki had previously resigned from the position of vice-president of the company and first deputy president of the management board of Orlen as of May 15, 2024. In turn, Ireneusz Sitarski resigned from his position as a member of the supervisory board.

The company announced that at Tuesday's meeting, Orlen's supervisory board decided to appoint him to the company's management board as of May 16 this year. Literacki as Vice-President for Corporate Affairs and Sitarski as Vice-President for Retail Sales.

Witold Literacki

Witold Literacki he has been a member of the Orlen Management Board since February 6, 2024. He is a graduate of the University of Silesia, the Faculty of Social Sciences, which he graduated in 1994, and an MBA from the Lublin Business School in cooperation with the University of Central Lancashire in Great Britain, completed in 2006. He is an expert in the field of finance and taxes, and has been professionally associated with the fuel and energy industry for many years. He gained managerial experience in both foreign and Polish companies, including PKN Orlen.

Literacki served as financial director at PERN in 2022-2023. For 12 years until 2020, he was the director of the tax office at PKN Orlen.

Ireneusz Sitarski

In turn, Ireneusz Sitarski has been a member of the supervisory board of the Płock concern since February 6, 2024. In the period from February 17 to April 10 this year. was delegated to temporarily act as a member of the Orlen management board.

Sitarski has a master's degree in economics, a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade of the Warsaw School of Planning and Statistics, now the Warsaw School of Economics.

He is an economic advisor in the field of finance, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions of companies. In his professional practice, he implemented consulting projects, developed privatization strategies, analyzes and valuations for enterprises from the public and private sectors. He led restructuring projects for difficult and non-performing loans in Polish banks. He served as president of the company managing the National Investment Fund.

Sitarski in government administration, he served as undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Ownership Transformations in 1994-1996 and at the Ministry of Treasury in 2001-2003. As reported, he transformed state-owned enterprises into State Treasury companies, supervised their activities and conducted the process of selling shares to strategic or financial investors, including: from the fuel, energy, gas, banking, insurance and games of chance sectors.

Orlen added that Ireneusz Sitarski he also has extensive experience as a member and chairman of supervisory boards of commercial law companies, including: in companies such as Telekomunikacja Polska, Warsaw Stock Exchange, Polish Insurance Company, Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej, Dwory, Huta Aluminum Konin, PESA Bydgoszcz.

In 2018, Sitarski ran in the elections to the Masovian Voivodeship Assembly, and a year later in the elections to the European Parliament and the Sejm. (PAP)
