Colfuturo, the Foundation for the Colombian Future, announced through its information channels that thanks to an alliance with public universities in Switzerland, People interested in pursuing doctorates or post-doctoral studies, as well as research projects that promote scientific fields, are welcome. The Federal Institute of Technology and universities with applied sciences programmes would be the places where interested parties can arrive.
Jerónimo Castro, director of Colfuturo, was in charge of making the announcement and pointed out that “Switzerland is recognized for its progress in technology, research and innovation” and that “Two of its universities are not only among the top 100 universities in the world, but also have Nobel Prize-winning graduates.”
The application form for these benefits is through the entity’s website until November 4 at midnight. Students who wish to apply for the program should keep in mind that the scholarships awarded and the resulting financial support are for a minimum of two people.
The director added that “it is a country with one of the highest quality of life indices and its linguistic diversity allows applicants to choose the language region that is easiest for them, such as French or German.”
The scholarships offered by the entity in conjunction with the European country would have a maximum duration of three years for those interested in pursuing a doctorate, in addition, post-doctoral studies and stays would have an execution time of 12 calendar months.
The specific conditions to apply to the program are: Have a master’s degree or equivalent study and have completed said studies before July 31, 2025 and not have been born before December 31, 1989.Applicants must submit a written document in physical form or by email from an academic who will supervise the studies carried out in Switzerland.
These academics cannot be PhD mentors or people associated with these processes. In addition, those interested must only apply to one University and have its endorsement, speak the predominant language in the area and have a high level of English.
Through these programs, we seek to provide new assistance to the country’s professionals in the processes of academic strengthening and the search for better opportunities.
