PLN 200 billion from KPO to support entrepreneurship

The Minister of Funds and Regional Policy on Thursday in Szczecin met with representatives of West Pomeranian business and organizing entrepreneurs, such as the Northern Chamber of Commerce.

“From European funds, both traditional ones and the KPO, we have PLN 200 billion in the current perspective to support entrepreneurship. This is huge money and this money must be invested so that there are 50 Polish companies among hundreds of Polish enterprises and there were five among the top ten, “said Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.

She admitted that it was “Far, ambitious, for the next decade. ” She reminded that now in the TOP10 companies operating in Poland there is no entity with native private capital. And in a hundred largest enterprises “only a quarter” are Polish companies.

Funds for modern technologies

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz She emphasized that the government wants to support European funds “primarily modern technological enterprises”. For this purpose, it creates “new instruments” (financial) that will be launched in mid -this year. “For the support of artificial intelligence, digitization, biotechnology, energy -saving technology,” calculated the minister.

She emphasized that directors from the MFIPR and the president of the Polish Entrepreneurship Development Agency came to Szczecin, to answer in detail the activities of the ministry, answer the questions of representatives of the economic community in West Pomeranian and talk about “what works and what does not work” in EU funds.

Consultations with entrepreneurs

“No support above the heads and behind the entrepreneurs, despite them, makes no sense. Nothing about entrepreneurs except them, hence the broad consultations “-noted Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. “We want to hear how these funds should be best invested so that Polish private entrepreneurs and investors reign in the Polish economy,” said the minister.

The voivode accompanying her Adam Rudawski announced that on Western Pomerania 255,000 companies are registered. “Five thousand more than in 2023,” he emphasized. He explained that about 70 percent of enterprises in the region are the activities of natural persons.

“We hope that these (European) funds will help more efficiently and strongly compete with Europeans in order to best support GDP growth in our country as much as possible,” said Rudawski.

The visit of the MFIPR head in Szczecin is the third in a series of regional meetings on European funds. Earlier, Pełczyńska-Nałęcz was at meetings with entrepreneurs in Katowice and Bialystok. (PAP)
