How to apply for Icetex's call for scholarships to study in Japan?

Icetex has three calls open for undergraduate, postgraduate or research studies in Japan.

According to the entity, the scholarships cover admission fees, tuition fees and a monthly stipend of up to 3.6 million pesos. “These are opportunities to study undergraduate, graduate and research programs in person starting next year, with admission fees, tuition and academic expenses covered, as well as monthly stipend support that ranges between 117,000 yen (2,900,000 pesos) for undergraduate and 143,000 yen (3,600,000 pesos) for postgraduate studies or research,” Icetex indicated.

1. Undergraduate in different areas (Monbukagakusho Program)

This program is aimed at Colombian high school graduates or those who have even begun their university studies, with a minimum average high school grade of 3.7/5.0 and who preferably have a minimum score in the Saber 11° tests of 65 in the areas that are related to what you intend to study in Japan.

2. Undergraduate studies at the technical level of special training in Japan (Monbukagakusho Program)

The program is aimed at Colombian high school graduates who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at a technical level of special training in Japan.

These applicants must have been born after April 2, 2000, have obtained results in the SABER 11th tests (50 points, at least in the areas related to the program to be developed), and have good knowledge of the English language certified by TOEFL or IELTS with a B2 level.

Postgraduate or research in different areas in Japan (Monbukagakusho Program)

This scholarship option is intended for Colombian professionals who wish to pursue master's, doctoral or research studies in areas related to their professional training and who meet the admission requirements for programs offered by Japanese institutions.

Applicants must be born after April 2, 1990, have a minimum high school grade average of 3.7/5.0, and have good knowledge of the English language certified by TOEFL or IELTS with a B2 level.
