New opportunities for Colombian students
For all these advantages, the government of Victoria (Australia) will bring a delegation to Colombia on April 25 and 26, with the aim of exploring and strengthening various opportunities for collaboration in education, innovation and research.
Among the officials from the two governments who will be part of this meeting are: Anna Chrisp, Australian ambassador to Colombia, Nigel Warren, commissioner for the Americas, Australian government of Victoria, Victoria Gómez from the International Cooperation Office, Ministry of Education from Colombia, and Valentín Sierra, head of the International Office, MinTic, among others.
“Our universities in Victoria enjoy the highest employability rates and are at the top of global rankings. We want Colombians to fall more and more in love with Victoria and Melbourne, as an epicenter of knowledge and innovation (…)”, says Natalia Gorroño, Senior Director of Investment and Trade for Latin America of the Australian Government of Victoria.
“This visit allows us to strengthen our ties of inter-institutional cooperation with Colombian universities and government agencies,” said the official in question.
Current agreements with Australia
Currently, there is certain aid so that Colombians who want to project themselves in Australia can do so in an economically accessible way. Among the university agreements currently in force between Colfuturo and the universities of Melbourne are: The University of Melbourne, Monash University, RMIT Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Deakin University.
These agreements include discounts on tuition and some research scholarships for students.
