Podlaskie Voivodeship in the lead
The Podlaskie Province maintained its leading position, while the Mazowieckie Province remains at the bottom of the table in the Reliability Ranking of Polish enterprises developed by the Reliable Company in cooperation with the National Debt Register – according to data presented in the KRD report.
There were some reshuffles in the remaining positions.”The most spectacular advancement is the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, which for several years had been in one of the last places. This time it moved from 15th to 10th place. In turn, the Pomeranian Voivodeship fell from 11th to 14th place, and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship from 10th to 13th,” said Sandra Czerwińska, an expert from Rzetelna Firma.
Corporate debt
As reported, the debts of enterprises listed in the KRD amount to almost PLN 10 billion. The largest part of this amount falls on companies from the Mazowieckie province – 550 thousand companies have PLN 2.3 billion to repay in their accounts. Second on the list were entrepreneurs from Silesia – 308 thousand of them have a total debt of PLN 1.2 billion. In third place was the Wielkopolskie province with 297 thousand companies with unpaid liabilities of over PLN 1 billion.
“The total amount of debt is not taken into account in our ranking. We divided the debt into the number of companies registered in a given province. We also took into account the average amount to be repaid per company and the percentage of indebted companies in the region. We awarded points in each of these categories, according to the principle that the smaller the debt and the fewer debtors, the higher the position on our list. The final classification was the result of the sum of points obtained in the three categories,” Czerwińska noted.
The highest debt per 1,000 companies is recorded by companies from the Mazowieckie province – PLN 4,149,020, the Śląskie province – PLN 3,963,672 and the Pomorskie province – PLN 3,698,956. The lowest amount in this category can be boasted by entrepreneurs from the Podlaskie province – PLN 2,344,286, the Podkarpackie province – PLN 2,397,864 and the Małopolskie province – PLN 2,470,678.
On average, the most to repay is owed by entrepreneurs from Mazovia – over PLN 43 thousand, from Łódź – PLN 41 thousand and from Greater Poland – PLN 39 thousand. On average, the least owed are entrepreneurs from the West Pomeranian Voivodeship – PLN 33 thousand, from Warmińsko-Mazurskie – PLN 33.6 thousand and from Kujawsko-Pomorskie – PLN 34 thousand.
Percentage of debtors
The highest percentage of debtors among entrepreneurs is invariably in the Silesian province – 10.25 percent, Kuyavian-Pomeranian province – 10.08 percent and Lower Silesia province – 9.78 percent. The lowest in the Podkarpackie province – 6.24 percent, Lesser Poland province – 6.36 percent and Podlaskie province – 6.54 percent.
“The latest reliability ranking of Polish companies, prepared by Rzetelna Firma in cooperation with the National Debt Register, shows interesting changes in the regional landscape of company debt. In the first half of the year, debt per 1,000 companies decreased only in one province – Kujawsko-Pomorskie. Only here did the average debt of a statistical company entered in the KRD also decrease. In the remaining provinces, these values increased, although to a varying extent, which resulted in reshuffling on the list,” indicated the president of the National Debt Register of the Economic Information Bureau, Adam Łącki.
