Expert in front of the microphone – Dr. Stępniak about law in the media

In the cycle WSKZ podcasts Dr. Stępniak – graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw winner of an award granted by Amnesty International – acts both as a host and a guest. One of the episodes will be devoted to a topic particularly close to his experience – “Lawyer in the media – is it worth being one?”. Dr. Kamil Stępniak – constitutionalist by vocation

Kamil Stępniak has been taking action for years building an informed civil society. The doctor of social sciences in the discipline of legal sciences has been consistently pursuing a goal for years, which he himself defines with the words: “I try to show and realize how important the role of the constitution is in the life of every citizen.”

Dr. Stępniak’s achievements include laurel in the prestigious Rising Stars ranking “Lawyers – leaders of tomorrow” (2021), distinction in the final of the “Nieprzeciętni 2019” plebiscite of Polish Radio and regular journalistic activity on the Gazeta.pl portal. He is also the founder of, and serves as, the Center for Constitutional Law and Rule of Law Monitoring assistant professor at the Institute of Law of the Higher School of Vocational Education. You can’t miss the prestigious award from Amnesty International – “Feathers of Hope 2024”.

A voice that matters – an Amnesty International distinction

This is the last of these achievements – “Peather of Hope 2024” – is proof of the effectiveness of Dr.’s educational mission. Stępniak. This award, awarded by Amnesty International for over two decades, it has been reaching out to people who, through their actions, influence positive changes for human rights. Lecturer at WSKZ won the recognition of Internet users thanks to his tireless work for civic education online – in particular by presenting legal complexities to a wide audience as @konstytucjonalista on Instagram.

The justification for the nomination emphasized that the winner “proves that legal knowledge can and should be available to everyone.” his voice is crucial in defending democracy and the rule of law.

“I always try to put human rights and the constitution first, regardless of who is in power. This award is not only a reason for joy for me, but above all a great commitment and motivation for further work,” comments Dr. Stępniak.
