Logistics supports women’s entrepreneurship

One example of such commitment is participation in the initiative TOP Women in e-business, organized by the Women of e-business Foundation. This is one of the largest educational projects in Poland for women running or planning their own online business, to which thousands of participants apply every year – from young women taking their first professional steps, through mothers returning after maternity leave, to professionals and even seniors who want a professional or personal change. The six-month course, consisting of workshops and online lectures, combines learning digital skills, mental development and real business support.

DHL eCommerce has become a partner of the 6th edition of the course, during which DHL experts share practical knowledge of logistics on the e-commerce market – from selecting a logistics partner and preparing a contract, through safe packaging of shipments, to the implementation of foreign sales.

As a woman at the head of a logistics organization, I know how important it is to create an environment that supports diversity and gives space for development. Logistics has no gender – what matters is competence, determination and courage to pursue your ambitions. That’s why I want us to not only set an example within the company, but also support women entrepreneurs who build their own businesses. Investing in women is investing in the future of the entire industry and economy – says Agnieszka Świerszcz, CEO of DHL eCommerce Polska.

Equal opportunities in the workplace

The company also implements this approach within the organization. DHL eCommerce Polska has been developing programs supporting women in professional development and building a leadership path for years. One of them is “Leaders in Logistics”, an initiative helping women strengthen their leadership competences and build their position in the industry. The company also supports employees in reconciling work and private life. The “Wonder Parents” program helps parents find a balance between work and family life, including: facilitating the return to work after parental leave.

DHL eCommerce cares about the development of women in the organization right from the recruitment process, in which the principle of the presence of both genders on the short list of candidates is in force, strengthening equal opportunities at the start. The company also implements a Succession Program, the aim of which is to achieve a balance between the number of women and men in managerial positions. The first stage is to achieve 30% representation of women at various levels in the management staff in 2026.

Such initiatives are part of a broader strategy to build a work environment based on equal opportunities and transparent principles. It is confirmed by the Pay Equality Certificate, which confirms that the company’s remuneration system is based on objective criteria and transparent principles.

The company’s involvement also includes social activities. DHL eCommerce Polska is a logistics partner of the Feminoteka Foundation, which has been supporting women experiencing violence for years, providing them with legal, psychological and therapeutic assistance.

Women’s Day with a discount on international shipments

On the occasion of Women’s Day, DHL eCommerce Polska has also prepared a special campaign for customers sending parcels abroad. Under it, parcels sent to DHL points and machines in France and Italy can be sent with a 10% discount. The promotion will last until the end of March.
