What are the symptoms of poisoning?
RCB reminds that the symptoms of poisoning may vary depending on the type of poisoning and the extent to which the meat was poisoned – these include: nausea – these are one of the most common symptoms of food poisoning (a person may experience stomach discomfort and a feeling of reluctance to eat), vomiting and diarrhea – this is the body’s natural way of getting rid of toxins (they may occur both after eating poisoned meat and during digestion), abdominal pain – sharp or dull (may be localized differently and intensify with the intensity of poisoning), fever – in case of severe food poisoning, fever may occur, which is the body’s reaction to the presence of toxins, general weakness – food poisoning may lead to general weakness, feelings of fatigue and apathy.
“Share information about the potential threat with your loved ones to prevent them from eating poisoned meat and encourage them to be careful when shopping for groceries,” says RCB. “Buy meat only in proven places. If you have any doubts about the origin of the meat or its freshness, refrain from purchasing it or consult the territorially competent veterinary inspectorate,” he adds.
