PFR assistance for refund
The newspaper reminds that Polish Development Fund (PFR) is still settling accounts with companies that received aid from Shield 1.0 and 2.0 during the pandemic.
“From the 1.0 program, 4,391 companies received decisions requesting the return of the entire support, which is 1 percent of beneficiaries. 1,237 of these companies had a negative recommendation from the CBA. In the case of the 2.0 program, 1,265 companies received requests to return the entire subsidy, which is 3 percent of beneficiaries. 271 of them had a negative recommendation from the CBA,” he said. Bartosz Marczuk, Vice President of PFR responsible for the implementation of the shields, whose term of office expires on Friday, July 19.
“Puls Biznesu” reports that more will soon join the 5.6 thousand companies that have already received demands for reimbursement.
“We are still working on the summonses resulting from our anti-fraud program, in which we verify companies with ZUS and MF. I expect that about 500 more companies may receive summonses in July-August. We are also waiting for the CBA to verify over 400 companies. In this case, they will receive summonses in August-September. In total, there will be about 900 more entrepreneurs, and the number of those summoned to repay the loan will increase to 6.5 thousand. However, this is practically the end of the process, which concerns a marginal number of companies, i.e. 1.8 percent of the 355 thousand beneficiaries of shields 1.0 and 2.0,” Bartosz Marczuk clarified.
The daily noted that many companies do not negotiate with PFR and return the money.
“The entire requested amount was returned by 1,203 beneficiaries of Shield 1.0 and 256 of Shield 2.0. The money was not returned by 4,197 companies. Nearly 30 percent of companies agree with our decisions, which speaks well of the PFR anti-fraud program and the CBA recommendations,” says the departing vice-president of PFR. (PAP)
