What is the competition about?
The Social Insurance Institution announced a competition for contribution payers for projects improving working conditions that will be implemented in 2027. Funding can be obtained for investments that will improve occupational safety, reduce the risk of accidents or occupational diseases, or limit the impact of harmful factors in the workplace.
The project must be of an investment nature. It may be accompanied by an advisory element, e.g. preparation of an occupational risk assessment, but funds solely for consulting cannot be applied for.
How much can you get
ZUS subsidizes up to 80% of the project value. The minimum amount is PLN 15,000. PLN, maximum PLN 345 thousand PLN for a purely investment project or PLN 350,000. PLN for an investment and consulting project (including PLN 5,000 for consulting activities). The total prize pool of the competition is PLN 150 million.
What you can spend your money on
The funding covers a wide range of activities: purchase of machines and equipment safer for employees, noise and vibration protection systems, ventilation and air purification, lighting of workstations, protection when working at heights, equipment limiting the load on the musculoskeletal system, protection against chemical and biological agents and personal protective equipment.
In last year’s edition, the most frequently requested applications were equipment limiting the load on the musculoskeletal system, devices for working at heights and ventilation systems. Companies from the industrial processing, construction and trade sectors dominated.
Who can apply
The competition is open to contribution payers who are not in arrears with ZUS contributions or taxes, are not in the process of bankruptcy or liquidation and have not received funding from ZUS in the last 3 years.

Applications are accepted only electronically via the website prewencja.zus.pl (“Sending application” tab) on the applicable form available at zus.pl/prewencja. Recruitment lasts from February 23 to March 24, 2026 Questions can be sent tokonkurs@zus.pl.
