Record support for the electrification of trucking

PLN 2 billion, i.e. PLN 1 billion more than originally expected, will be allocated to support entrepreneurs wanting to buy an electric truck.. The subsidies will cover N2 category cars (with a GVW from 3.5 t to 12 t) and N3 (with a GVW above 12 t) – said “PB”.

This is the largest tranche approved by the European Investment Bank. We allocate the funds we receive from the sale of carbon dioxide emission rights to the green transformation in Poland towards a low-emission economy. – said Dorota Zawadzka-Stępniak, president of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, quoted by the daily.

Subsidies for entrepreneurs purchasing electric trucks

The principles of the EIB-approved program remained unchanged. The amount of subsidies still depends on the size of the company and the type of vehicle. In the case of purchase, the subsidy may amount to a maximum of 30%. eligible costs for large enterprises, 50 percent for medium-sized and 60 percent for little ones. However, the total amount of support cannot exceed PLN 400,000. PLN for N2 category vehicles or PLN 750,000 PLN for N3 category vehicles. In the case of leasing, the subsidy cannot be higher than the initial leasing fee. When calculating the final amount of support, provisions regarding state aid will be taken into account – informed “PB”.

According to the newspaper, two more key support programs should be launched soon, which have already been approved by the EIB. These include the construction and expansion of electricity networks for public high-power charging stations and the development of public charging stations for heavy transport. The total budget of these programs is PLN 6 billion, and their beneficiaries will include: charging station operators.
