Prisoners received certification as ‘talent development managers’: “They are tools to contribute to society”

The Universitaria Agustiniana (Uniagustiniana) in alliance with the Mambart Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, held an event at the Men’s District Prison in which they delivered 60 certificates to people deprived of liberty who successfully completed the training program. Talent Development Managers’.

“The Mambart Foundation, the Uniagustiniana and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce came together to carry out an unforgettable event at the Men’s District Prison and Women’s Annex. During the day, 60 certificates were awarded to prisoners who successfully completed the ‘Managers in Talent Development’ training program. This program consisted of 480 hours of training that opens new doors to a future full of opportunities”, the organizers noted in a statement.

The event at the penitentiary center was accompanied by music, rhythm and a lot of emotion, demonstrating that culture and artistic expressions are a very powerful tool for rehabilitation and personal growth. The prisoners showed their talent with various musical performances.

“During the event, The inmates showed their talent in a series of musical presentations, in which 10 finalists participated, of these, 3 were selected for their outstanding performancereceiving recognition for their effort and dedication,” detailed the organizers of the event.

On the other hand, the organizing institutions reaffirmed their commitment to promoting culture and supporting people deprived of their liberty. “Providing them with the necessary tools to contribute positively to society,” expressed the organizers of the event.

Likewise, the organizers pointed out that this type of initiatives mean another step in the construction of educational and cultural programs in the process of social reintegration with impact.
