There are no buyers for used electric cars

Electric cars lose their value much more than their combustion counterparts
Carvago experts examined advertising data from the German market, the largest in Europe, taking a closer look at the primary advertising data prices of ten pairs of comparable car models at the end of 2022 along with prices of the same used cars at the end of 2025. In all ten cases the electric model has lost much more value than its combustion counterpart.
Why are used electric cars so cheap?
In the opinion of Dariusz Piwiński, director of Carvago Polska, there are two factors behind the sharp drop in prices of electric cars: limited demand on the secondary market and rapid technological progress. This second factor makes electric vehicles after just a few years they become obsolete in terms of range and charging speed – indicates the newspaper.
