The Council of Ministers, which was broadcast live on Tuesday, February 4, is still leaving many reactions and their first consequences have already been given: several officials presented their irrevocable resignation to the position and, in addition, the president Gustavo Petro He requested the protocol resignation of all.
Sergio Fajardowho is still thinking whether or not to launch the next presidential elections, spoke about about this issue and highlighted the way in which Márquez made his position clear.
“What happened with France Márquez in that Council of Ministers was something dramatic. Here everything is treated and then it is said that this was a master play of the maximum brain that is Petro (…) But what France said is the description of the failure of that government of change”He said.
The former mayor of Medellín recalled the moment in which the Minister of Equality also spoke of what her family has had to live on account of the violence in different areas of the country, but especially in Cauca.
“When she mentions that in her town they are told that they were better before they are now, being her vice president of Colombia, it is very, very, hard, ” said.
The possible presidential candidate said that, despite this, he supports what the official said during the Council of Ministers that was televised. “That woman expressed pain and discomfort, I will not say that anger, but I was very frustration”, He pointed out.
“She was disappointed, was dramatic and left her heart. He says he feels relegated, mistreated, tenacious what happens with her. I do not know what you think today and how your life does, but the testimony of France Márquez is the hardest thing we have heard in political terms and for the Petro government, ”he added.
In that sense, he recalled that many women, at the time, voted for the now first president thanks to the fact that he declared himself “feminist” and for what the vice president represented.
“France Márquez was a woman’s symbol, an Afro woman and all this, but now look what she is talking about and what she is saying”, He closed his idea.
On the other hand, the mathematician made it clear that, from his vision, the next elections will be very complex in every way and will not be easy to defeat Petrism. “This is a very hard battle, if I apply, the number of attacks will be merciless and will use anything and whatever,” he said.
“President Petro is a skilled person in confrontation (…) There was no change here, but this goes for a great confrontation and it will not be easy. It will be the most difficult government and campaign, ”he said.
