The best-managed companies in the USA
The second best-managed company is Nvidiaand the podium closes Microsoft. The magazine’s recognition is almost perfectly reflected in the stock exchange – the three companies mentioned above have by far the largest capitalization on Wall Street. Apple is valued at $3.775 trillion, Microsoft at $3.249 trillion, and Nvidia at $3.2 trillion.
This year, Apple and Nvidia knocked Microsoft out of the top spot it had held for the past four years.
They complete this year’s top five Intel and Mastercard. What may be surprising is the position of the chip manufacturer, whose value has dropped significantly over the last year, and the company has decided to part with its CEO, Pat Gelsinger.
Ranking methodology
In a list prepared by the Drucker Institute 250 companies were included. They were rated in terms of five areas of corporate management: consumer satisfaction, employee development and commitment, innovation, social responsibility and the financial strength of the company – we read further in Quartz.
Apple was rated the highest in the entire ranking in terms of innovation and financial condition. Nvidia was the best of all companies in terms of financial strength (ex aequo with Apple) and second in employee engagement.
The interesting case of Intel
Intel has had a difficult year behind it – it has not managed to improve its financial results during this time. In August, the company announced a significant cost reduction in 2025, which is expected to amount to USD 10 billion. As part of these savings, 15,000 people employed at the company’s headquarters (15% of the workforce there) are to be laid off.
Last month, Intel was removed from the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which includes 30 leading U.S. companies. It had to make room for Nvidia, which is the undisputed king of the AI revolution.
