The fate of the Izera car factory hangs in the balance. New reports

Controversy surrounding the construction of the Jizera factory

According to the plans presented by the United Right team, the factory would produce 100, and after expansion even 200,000 vehicles per year.

After submitting the only offer, the tender for the purchase of a plot of 117 ha intended for investment was won by a Polish manufacturer of electric cars. Izera ElectroMobility Polandthe general contractor is to be the company Mirbudand the main partner of the Polish manufacturer and supplier of most components – Chinese company Geely.

Donald Tusk's government especially dislikes the latter. Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz she wondered whether it would be profitable for the Polish economy to produce a car based primarily on Chinese technology. She had to accept that it was true after all.

The government will make an official decision on the future of the Jizera factory by the end April 2024.
