On the other hand, the average annual tuition fees is 8,510,885, one of the highest; However, Bogotá makes up for it with 148 activities with affordable prices for the student community.

Pereira is in second place and has the advantage of offering the lowest rental price of 600,000 pesos per month, ideal for students on a tight budget.

Manizales ranks at number three, since it has a fairly affordable rental cost compared to the two previous cities, 1,085,277 pesos per month. In addition, it has the lowest tuition rate, being one of the most economical options in Colombia.

At the Latin American level, Bogotá occupies fourth position in the ranking, below Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Querétaro, according to the study in question.

Given this scenario, the study advises taking these aspects into account before packing suitcases.

“Define what is most important, cultural activities, affordability or security. Each city has its own strengths, so align your choice with your goals. Also take into account the local language if you want to improve your knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese, since studying in a city where the language matches your objectives can improve the experience,” says Yolanda del Peso Ramos, language expert in , cited in the official statement.
