The supervisory board of PKO Bank Polski decided to start an open recruitment procedure for the positions of president and vice-presidents of the bank, the bank announced. Offers can be submitted until February 26, 2024 at 10.00.
“The competition is open and is addressed to all managers who meet the criteria allowing them to apply for top management positions,” we read in the announcement.
As previously reported, the board also decided to dismiss the six current vice-presidents of the bank’s management board. Piotr Mazur, vice-president of the management board responsible for risk management, remains in his current position. The supervisory board appointed three board members to temporarily perform the duties of vice-presidents of the bank’s management board, it was announced.
The Supervisory Board delegated the Supervisory Board to temporarily perform the duties of the Vice-President of the Management Board and at the same time entrust him with managing the work of the Management Board Szymon Midera, and Maciej Cieślukowski and Marek Radzikowski were delegated to temporarily perform the duties of vice-presidents of the bank’s management board.
By decision of the supervisory board, the following were dismissed from their positions: Maciej Brzozowski, Marcin Eckert, Paweł Gruza, Wojciech Iwanicki, Andrzej Kopyrski and Artur Kurcweil. Piotr Mazur, former vice-president of the bank’s management board, continues to manage the risk area.
“The goal of the current management board is the stable and safe operation of the bank until the end of the competition and the selection of a new management board of PKO Bank Polski,” we read further in the statement.
PKO Bank Polski is the leader of the Polish banking sector. The bank’s shares have been listed on the WSE since November 2004; is included in the WIG20 index. The bank’s total assets amounted to PLN 431.45 billion at the end of 2022.
