Step towards lower current prices

“This is an important step in the government’s pursuit of electricity prices in Poland. We are introducing solutions that will support the production of energy from renewable sources” – emphasized on the platform X the Minister of Climate and the Environment Paulina Hennig – Kloska.

The distance between windmills and buildings

One of the most important of the changes planned in the amendment is the abolition of the 10h principle introduced in 2016 and introduction 500 m as a minimum distance of windmills from buildings.

In addition, the minimum distance from the turbine from the border of the National Park is to be 1500 m, from specific areas of Natura 2000 – 500 m. This restriction is to cover the neighborhood of Natura 2000 areas created to protect the habitats of bats and birds.

Flexibility in the location of wind farms

The project introduces flexibility in the placement of wind farms near the highest voltage transmission lines. The current regulations provide for a minimum distance of 3 hours. It is expected to introduce possibilities to create local spatial development plan (MPZP) For a specific wind investment, the investor could agree with the transmission operator a smaller distance.

The project also assumes the introduction of an auction support system for biomethane installations with a capacity of above 1 MW. Separate auctions for biomethane installations with electrical installated electric power less than 2 MW and equal or larger 2 MW are to appear. (PAP)
