“From January 16, 2023, Piotr Żak is the acting President of the Management Board of Telewizja Polsat. At the same time, he remains Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board decided that this is the best decision for the future and development of Telewizja Polsat,” TV Polsat announced on Tuesday. “Stanisław Janowski, previously President of the Management Board, will become a member of the Supervisory Boards of Telewizja Polsat and Polsat Mediain which he will supervise the area related to the advertising market,” it was reported.
“Piotr Żak has been associated with the Polsat Plus Group for many years, has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Telewizja Polsat since 2016. He is also a member of the supervisory boards of all the most important companies in the entire Polsat Plus Group – both in Polkomtel (Plus network), Cyfrowy Polsat (Polsat Box), Netia, Interia, as well as energy companies. He knows Polsat TV, the Polsat Plus Group and the entire business very well,” the statement reads.

Piotr Żak is the second son of Zygmunt Solorz, who will manage the leading company of his holding. A few years ago, he was also the head of Polkomtel, and later Cyfrowy Polsat Tobias Solorz. He is currently on their supervisory boards.
Piotr Żak graduated in economics from the University of London. He is also a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. Since 2014, he has been conducting business activities in Poland in the field of, among others: building and supporting start-up ventures. It focuses its activity in the modern technology sector, in particular creating and developing innovative projects related to the use of the potential of online and traditional media, online entertainment, and the use of data transmission in solutions, services and products addressed to individual and business customers.
