“The energy they buy was cheap, green and available”
Grzegorz Lot spoke about the changes that he is preparing for Tauron’s clients in the studio of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna during European Economic Congress in Katowice.
– There is a customer in the center of our strategy, and we have six million. We want The energy they buy was cheap, green and available Grzegorz Lot said.
He reminded that in June last year the company introduced a new product, “Tauron Nowa Energia”, in which it offered green energy with a price guarantee for nine years.
– Already 170 thousand customers have contracted this energy. They have secured prices and the certainty that it comes from our renewable energy sources. This is something new that has not yet happened in our country or Europe – he pointed out.
He explained that customers who have heat pumps, electric cars, consume large amounts of energy and for which the price of electricity is extremely important in planning the household budget.
Energy transformation requires commitment
As for the future prospects, the President of LOT pointed to the dynamic tariff, which reflects the actual energy prices in wholesale markets.
– Currently, below a thousand customers have benefited from this solution, but it is important that 40 percent. It has smaller bills than it would appear from the tariff, and 20 percent. lower than it would result from frozen prices. So there is a great potential for the reduction of the accounts, but there is one condition “You have to take on risk,” he explained.
He emphasized that energy transformation requires the involvement of not only the capital of energy or technological companies, but above all customers – from households, through medium -sized companies to large industry.
For many customers, however, the dynamic tariff is too burdensome, because it requires ongoing checking, control and operation.
– For these customers, in June we will offer a new seasonal dynamic tariff that combines dynamics with some predictability – announced the president of Taruon Polska Energia.
Customers will get a price package that will apply for a year at different times of the year and different hours. Thanks to this, they will be able to adapt their consumption to the price list.
