Where are the most indebted companies?

The highest percentage of companies with arrears was recorded in Silesian Voivodeshipwhere it amounts to 10.74 percent. In turn, the lowest level occurs in Podkarpacie – 6.49 percent Regions with a relatively low share of indebted enterprises also include Małopolskie (6.74%), Podlaskie (6.97%) and Świętokrzyskie (7.15%). Apart from Silesia, high values ​​are also recorded in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (10.34%), Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (9.96%), Lower Silesian Voivodeship (9.91%) and West Pomeranian Voivodeship (9.87%).

How indebted are Polish companies?

The total amount of debt of companies entered into the KRD is PLN 11.5 billion. The largest part of this sum falls to the Masovian Voivodeship – PLN 2.7 billion, which reflects the scale of economic activity in the region. The next places are taken by the Silesian Voivodeship (PLN 1.4 billion) and the Greater Poland Voivodeship (PLN 1.2 billion).

“The risk of payment backlogs in settlements between companies has a clear regional dimension in Poland. For companies operating outside their own local market, this is an important tip, because the same conditions of cooperation in different parts of the country may turn out to be insufficient. It is worth taking this into account when determining the payment deadline or the amount of trade credit,” said Adam Łącki, president of KRD, quoted in the release.

The reliability index also takes into account the average value of debt per one debtor. It is the highest in the Masovian Voivodeship and amounts to approximately 50,000. zloty. High values ​​were also recorded in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (approx. PLN 46.6 thousand), Greater Poland (approx. PLN 45.3 thousand), Podkarpacie (approx. PLN 44.3 thousand) and Małopolska (approx. PLN 44.2 thousand). The lowest average debt is in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship – approximately PLN 37.6 thousand. zloty.

Debt level per 1,000 active companies

As stated in the report, the analysis is also an important element debt level per 1,000 active companies. The highest values ​​were recorded in voivodeships with large-scale economic activity, such as the Masovian Voivodeship (approx. PLN 4.8 million per 1,000 companies) and the Silesian Voivodeship (approx. PLN 4.7 million). Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Pomorskie and Lower Silesia also rank high (approx. PLN 4.2 million each). The lowest values ​​occur in Podlasie (approx. PLN 2.7 million), Podkarpackie (approx. PLN 2.9 million) and Małopolska (approx. PLN 3 million).

In the latest ranking, the Podlaskie Voivodeship received the highest score, scoring 45 points. Also in the lead were the Lubelskie Voivodeship (37 points), the Opolskie and Podkarpackie Voivodeships (35 points each) and the Małopolskie Voivodeship (34 points). At the end of the ranking were the Silesian voivodeships (9 points) and Masovian voivodeship (10 points), as well as the Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeship (16 points) and the Lower Silesian and Pomeranian voivodeships (18 points each).
