Clean water will add health? Is this true in the capital of European mineral waters? The beginnings of the Krynica health resort date back to 1793, and it gained its reputation and fame in Austrian times, which is still visible in the city’s architecture. Engineers and scientists from Lviv and Krakow spent many years here to tame and make available waters with outstanding healing properties to a wide range of spa guests and patients. Suffice it to mention professors Dietl and Zuber. Today, the health resort is trying to refer to this great tradition. It does this in the difficult conditions of global competition. Fortunately, it is supported by the increasing awareness of consumers, who distinguish between table water, water from municipal waterworks, spring water and mineral water, and the difference between highly and low-mineralized water. Knowledge about the properties of individual waters known for centuries is also increasing. This is a great opportunity for such strong brands as Kryniczanka, which for decades has been the epitome of mineral water in this area.
Zuber water extracted from 941 m below the surface contains natural gas. This source is over a million years old. This water is collected in tanks and only after some time is it bottled.
Despite strong competition, well-known Polish water brands are defending themselves on the market. Poland remains one of the largest markets for mineral water sales. In other countries, spring water usually dominates. The future of this industry, including the Kryniczanka brand, can therefore be viewed with optimism.
