Luc Williams

The transformation takes place when accounting and HR and payroll services sector in Poland is entering an increasingly visible phase of consolidation. Growing technological requirements, pressure for automation and the need to serve internationally operating customers mean that the market is gradually moving away from a fragmented model towards larger, integrated organizations.

A market that is accelerating and consolidating

Financial outsourcing segment in Europe has been experiencing stable growth for years, but currently its dynamics is further accelerating due to digitalization and the shortage of qualified specialists. At the same time, the market structure is changing – there are more and more acquisitions of not only small entities, but also well-developed companies that become part of larger organizations.

The key driver of these changes is technology. Process automation, development of ERP systems, integration of financial and HR data and use artificial intelligence they result in organizations capable of making large technological investments gaining a competitive advantage. As a result, market consolidation is accelerating, and smaller entities are increasingly faced with a choice: specialization in a narrow niche or integration with larger structures.

First acquisition after name change

Rebranding at Aider Polska is an element of a broader direction of development of the organization, which includes both organic growth and acquisition activities. The company actively participates in the market consolidation process, developing its scale of operations and competences. In March, the company finalized the acquisition of Ground Frost and Ground Frost Outsourcing with offices in Łódź and Warsaw. The transaction expands the competences, among others: about transaction advisory and financial modeling.

Technology and changing the service model

Aider Polska is developing a connecting model accounting, HR, payroll and technology services. They are crucial automation, system integration and access to data in real time. The role of specialists is also changing – towards analysis and supervision.

Perspectives

There are many indications that market of accounting and HR and payroll services is at a crossroads and many, especially smaller companies, will have to make important decisions and answer difficult questions. What to invest in and how to manage priorities, but above all – is there really room for small players on this market?
