Who at Amazon will be able to work from home?
Only people with disabilities will be able to work from homewhich have health problems or obtain special permission from their superior. Only a narrow group of managers close to the company’s CEO will have the authority to issue consent to work from home.

Simplification of the corporate structure
The next big change at Amazon will be simplification of the corporate structure. This means reducing the number of managers in order to “reduce the number of layers and flatten the structure of the organization.” Amazon has 30 top managers, each responsible for one team (S-team, senior leadership team). Each of them has been tasked with reducing the ratio of managers to people in ordinary positions by at least 15% by the end of the first quarter of 2025. Team leaders are to conduct an audit to help identify people who are no longer needed at Amazon.
Amazon is undergoing a weight loss therapy after the pandemic, during which its payroll grew at a very fast pace. One of Jassy’s main tasks was to carry out effective cuts. They turned out to be the largest in the company’s entire 27-year stock market history.
Amazon wants to be a startup again
