Two days after survive an assassination attemptFormer President Donald Trump has made a triumphant appearance at the Republican National Convention, calling for unity and resilience.

In the context of this dissemination, Major (r) Jorge Castillo, an analyst specializing in security, offered his vision of the attack on Trump and also launched several criticisms against the voices in Colombia that describe the incident against the former president of the United States as a setup.

First of all, Major (r) Castillo pointed out that While most of the world’s presidents condemned the attack on Donald TrumpIn Colombia, public officials who “look like FBI investigators” have emerged by questioning the attack on Trump.

Additionally, he stated that the “The left always simply resorts to a story, but not to data” and that it always operates in that way. In that sense, he questioned Ocampo asking him on what basis he claims that the incident that occurred in Pennsylvania was a setup.

Continuing his argument against the words of Representative Ocampo, Castillo questioned the fact that a person would allow himself to be “shot by a bullet that, by millimeters, could kill him simply to win the elections.”

“That doesn’t fit in the head of anyone but a person who doesn’t have special training.” to determine those kinds of things,” the security expert added.

Retired Major Castillo said it is important to go to official websites, such as the FBI’s, to find accurate information and thus be able to draw conclusions, “but he can’t (draw them) because he thinks it’s a conspiracy.”

“I think we need to rely on reason and knowledge, not conspiracy theories,” he said.

Finally, Major (r) Jorge Castillo offered a reflection on the scenario that Colombia would face during the 2026 elections, He said that although he doubts that attacks like the one suffered by former President Trump will occur in the country, it is possible that the nation will face a difficult scenario.

Castillo said that Colombia will experience the greatest polarization in history and that this could lead to events like those that have occurred in the United States, where some minorities paid by the government confront other people on the social media stage in an attempt to annul them.

He also indicated that there could be infiltrations in the presidential campaigns, with the aim of snooping into the lives of potential rivals and using that information to destroy their image.

According to retired Major Jorge Castillo, the left has the State apparatus at its disposal to follow a candidate and discredit him. He also indicated that artificial intelligence could be used to generate fake news to destroy the good name of a political rival.

“Surely that is already happening, it happened in Argentina, there they hired farms on social networks to carry out that type of attacks. That is not with , there are also conscious people who infiltrate movements that the left sees as a danger,” stressed Major (r) Jorge Castillo in

Finally, Castillo stressed that he does not believe that there will be murder attempts in Colombia like the one suffered by former President Trump, since he believes that all attacks against a presidential candidate will be carried out on social media and in cyberspace.
