The sixth edition of the My Current program
According to the announcements of the Ministry of Climate, the recruitment of applications in the sixth edition of the program will be conducted until 20 December 2024 or until the budget of PLN 400 million from the FEnIKS program for 2021-2027 is exhausted.
For the sake of gaining funding from the My Electricity 6.0 program photovoltaic micro-installations reported for connection to the grid after 1 August 2024 will have an energy storage unit connected to them as an additional element.
In this case, the subsidy will amount to PLN 7,000 for micro-installations with a capacity of 2 to 20 kW and PLN 16,000 if the additional element is an electricity storage, and PLN 5,000 – if it is a heat storage. The capacity of the energy storage reported for subsidy should be at least one and a half times the power per 1 watt of peak photovoltaic power. These amounts can be combined, so a prosumer investing in a PV installation, energy storage and heat storage can count on a maximum of PLN 28,000 in subsidy.
The condition for obtaining funding for an additional device, i.e. a heat or electricity storage facility, will be the prosumer’s transition to the net-billing system.
Scope of funding
Various devices can be submitted for fundingwhich can be classified as photovoltaic micro-installations. These are: PV micro-installations, which consist of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of buildings or on ground structures together with an inverter enabling charging of the energy storage, or charging of the energy storage and operation in island mode; PV micro-installations, which consist of photovoltaic panels with micro-inverters; carports or canopies additionally covered with photovoltaic panels and similar structures containing PV cells; awnings consisting of PV cells, i.e. balcony or entrance canopies that produce electricity, roof coverings with a photovoltaic function – e.g. photovoltaic roof tiles; photovoltaic balcony sets; other devices approved for use in Poland. All of these photovoltaic installations must be connected to the electricity grid.
The total capacity of all RES installations owned by a prosumer, including the photovoltaic micro-installation and energy storage, cannot exceed 50 kW.
For PV micro-installations reported for connection by July 31, 2024, an energy or heat storage as an additional device is not a necessary condition for obtaining funding. For micro-installations with a capacity of 2 to 10 kW, the funding will amount to PLN 6,000. (PAP)
